Join the STARSEEKER Network Test on June 5th!

STARSEEKER is only a couple of weeks away from launching in Early Access, so in order to help us test the game’s servers we’re doing one final playtest! Starting Friday, June 5th, at 8:00 AM PT, the STARSEEKER Network Test will be open to all players looking to try it out for free! If you like what you see, don't forget to wishlist the game!

HOW TO PARTICIPATE

No registration is needed this time, simply look for the “STARSEEKER: Astroneer Expeditions Playtest” App on the digital store of your platform of choice: Steam, PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, and Nintendo eShop. You can install it as soon as the playtest begins, and then you’re all set to start playing!

What is a Network Test?

As the name suggests, the main goal of this playtest is to test how far we can push our servers so we can work out any issues ahead of the launch on June 11th. The more people playing the game, the better! Since this is the primary focus, this playtest will be significantly shorter than past playtests, lasting only two days and ending on Sunday, June 7th, at 8:00 AM PT.

And just like with the Open Beta, this playtest represents a slice of the full game. This means that much of the narrative, events, progression, items, and available planet Regions will be held back, so we don’t spoil all the fun for the game’s proper launch.

Note: Even though we’re very close to launch, this is still just a preview of the game, so things might still change between what you see during the playtest and launch day.

LAST CHANCE FOR THE RETRO SUIT!

If you missed the Open Beta, then here’s one last chance to earn this unique STARSEEKER suit! We’re offering the Retro Suit as a show of our appreciation for all playtesters helping put our game through its paces and who shared valuable feedback.

Even if you have participated in previous playtests, we still recommend participating in the Network Test to ensure we have validated your player data. Participating in the playtest will allow us to grant the Retro Suit directly into your game account, which will carry over into the Early Access release on June 11th.

You’re eligible to receive this suit if you participate in any STARSEEKER playtest, including:

• Previous Closed Playtests

TWITCH DROPS RETURN 

We’re also bringing back our Twitch Drops rewards! This is not only another chance to earn the Palette we had available last time but also complete the set with a new Visor and a regal Hat (also known as a crown)! 

Keep an eye out for Content Creators playing the game and streaming on Twitch during the playtest. Twitch Drops will be enabled until two weeks after launch!    

• Twitch Drops Start Time: Friday, June 5th, at 8AM PT
• Twitch Drops End Time: Thursday, June 25th, at 8AM PT

Watch eligible Starseeker streams on Twitch with Drops enabled to unlock the following STARSEEKER cosmetics: 

• Twitchwalker Palette after a total of 1 hour of watch time.
• Glitch Face Visor NEW after a total of 2 hours of watch time.
• Royal Treatment Hat NEW after a total of 3 hours of watch time.

Once you’ve unlocked a reward, you can claim it from your Twitch Drops dropdown list and it will be saved to your Twitch account inventory. Simply link your Twitch and Platform accounts and you’ll receive it during the Network Test. Make sure you follow all 3 steps:

NETWORK TEST FAQ

If you’re participating in the Network Test, you'll want to keep this information handy.

How long will the Network Test be available?
It will be available for two days, running between these dates.

• Start Date: Friday, June 5th, at 8:00 AM PST
• End Date: Sunday, June 7th, at 8:00 AM PST

What platforms can I play the Network Test on?
The Open Beta will be available on PC via Steam or the Xbox for PC App, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch 2.

What languages is the Network Test available in?
The Network Test will be available in English, Simplified Chinese, French, German, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese (Brazil), Russian, and Spanish (Spain).

Is cross-play and cross-progression available during the Network Test?
Yes. During the Network Test, the game will have both Cross-play and Cross-progression enabled. This means that you’ll be able to play with other players across different platforms, and your progress will carry over if you play on different platforms with linked accounts.

How much of the game is available during the Network Test?
Most of the new player experience will be available. The first Region of the planet Tephra, the Wetlands, will be fully explorable, and narrative Missions will be capped up to those pertaining to this Region. Also, building Reputation with Crew Member NPCs will be capped at Rank 7.

How do I find other players to play with?
Aside from sending in-game invites for players to join your squad, you can join the official Discord server and use the Looking-for-Group channel as well as our dynamic voice channels.

Will my Network Test progression be saved for launch?
Yes! Your account will be the same at launch, and all your progress will be saved.

When do I get my Retro Suit in STARSEEKER?
If you jump into the game during the Network Test, then you should receive the suit shortly after. You’ll find a message in your in-game Inbox to let you know you received it.

If you don’t participate in the Network Test, but did participate in a previous playtest, then you should receive the suit by the time the game launches in Early Access on June 11th, you migth receive it via email instead. If this isn't the case, please reach out to our support team: starseekersupport@systemera.net

Once I unlock the Twitch Drops rewards during the Network Test, will they still be available for the game’s launch?
Yes, your Twitch Drop rewards are saved to your Twitch Drops Inventory and will still be available in-game at launch if you already claimed them after linking your accounts. If you earned previous Twitch Drop rewards during the Open Beta, you’ll just need to relink your Twitch account to the game for these rewards to be accessible again.
