A RETROSPECTIVE ON HOW WE GOT HERE
System Era’s Creative Director, Adam Bromell, has been dreaming about bringing STARSEEKER to life for around seven years now, and the time has finally come! What started as his passion project is now out in the world for everyone to enjoy. To commemorate the launch, he shared in a new blog how we got to where we are today, bringing this game into reality.

EARLY ACCESS IS THE STARTING LINE
STARSEEKER is launching in Early Access. This means there’s still a lot more to come to the game, and that will be in no small part thanks to our ongoing communication with our community. To quote Adam:
“What you’ll find on day one is the starting shape of the game. What the launch on June 11, 2026 represents is the beginning of the conversation we have been wanting to have with you for a long, long time. The game will grow. It will adapt. The people who come in on day one are participants in what comes next, not an audience for a finished thing. We have been building toward this moment since 2019. Now we get to find out what it becomes.”

STARSEEKER EARLY ACCESS FAQ
KNOWN ISSUES
The following are some of the most common issues that have been identified in the game and are being targeted for fixes in an upcoming patch.
- Occasional server crashes may occur, and we are working to address them as we find them.
- Developer Note: Reconnect to Expedition when prompted. If reconnecting doesn’t work and the game pushes you back to the Start menu, continue through the menu options to reload into station.
- Performance stutters have been observed during Expeditions. We will continue working on addressing them as we find them.
- The rendering of player avatars on the station signs of the ESS Starseeker can cause performance stutters.
- AG-15001 – There’s a chance that going on an Expedition can result in not being able to see your Squadmates, despite being on the same Expedition as you. Restarting an Expedition has a chance of not triggering this issue.
- AG-16156 – The ‘Fit Check’ Sticker notification is mistakenly triggering with every completed Expedition.
- AG-15094 – The progress bar on “Press and Hold” actions on the Nintendo Switch 2 can appear to stagger, but this is only a visual issue, continue to press and hold as normal.
- AG-17966 – The Engineering Pack can mistakenly be labeled as owned across different platforms despite only owning the cosmetics on one platform.
- AG-17900 – Crew Member Mission text can disappear too quickly to be read.
- AG-18086 – The type and size of waypoint icons for the Depot and the Landing Zone in the Tutorial appear smaller than desired.
- AG-4153 – Synced emotes sometimes don’t show properly across different clients.
- AG-17906 – Cinematics are stretched wide on ultrawide monitors rather than have a fixed aspect ratio.
